Job Summary:
The Plant Hygiene and Pest Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of hygiene and sanitation protocols, as well as managing the plant’s pest control program. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and creating a safe, clean, and pest-free manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hygiene Management:
- Develop, implement, and regularly monitor sanitation and cleaning procedures to uphold plant cleanliness and meet food safety requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene standards across all production areas.
- Pest Control Management:
- Oversee the pest control program, ensuring effective execution of preventive measures and corrective actions.
- Coordinate and manage third-party pest control service providers to maintain a pest-free facility.
- Maintain detailed documentation of pest activity, corrective actions, and treatment schedules.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure the plant complies with relevant health, food safety, and environmental regulations related to hygiene and pest control (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO).
- Prepare and maintain accurate records for internal audits and external inspections.
- Participate in audits and actively lead the resolution of hygiene and pest control findings.
- Team Supervision and Training:
- Lead and supervise sanitation personnel to ensure proper execution of cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Conduct regular training sessions on hygiene and pest control best practices to promote continuous improvement and awareness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant supervisory experience in hygiene, sanitation, or pest control, preferably within a food manufacturing or production environment.
- Solid understanding of food safety standards, including GMP, HACCP, and ISO regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Familiarity with pest control protocols, tools, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform under pressure and maintain high hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment.
