Key Responsibilities of Purchasing Staff:
- Sourcing and Research: Identifying potential suppliers, evaluating their products, and comparing prices to ensure the best value.
- Negotiation: Negotiating contracts, prices, and payment terms with suppliers.
- Procurement: Creating and processing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely replenishment.
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Reporting and Analysis: Preparing reports on purchases, analyzing costs, and contributing to purchasing strategies.
- Quality Control: Inspecting purchased items and resolving any quality issues.
