Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that consistent and repeatable testing of manufactured products takes place in accordance with internal laboratory test methods
- Supervise a team of QC Inspectors, ensuring that there is sufficient cover to provide a timely and effective service to support manufacturing timelines
- Report on product non-conformities and deficiencies in product performance /specification adherence
- Ensure QC non-conformities are logged and processed correctly and in a timely manner to aid further preventative action and follow-up
- Ensure that monitoring and measuring devices are inspected and calibrated and appropriate records maintained.
- Induct, train, monitor and support staff in own area to carry out their duties effectively.
- Keep own team informed about day-to-day issues, priorities, and any areas of concern.
- Conducting regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the QMS and identify areas for improvement.
- Recommend or halt production of a product in the event of serious concern
- To maintain laboratory records, equipment and laboratory facility in a clean, tidy and organised condition, including general housekeeping, working to 5S standards
- Adhere to Company policies for Health and Safety, Quality, HR & IT
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Control, Manufacturing, Engineering or other related fields is required
- 5+ years in quality control, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- In-depth knowledge of quality control principles, methods, and tools
- MS Project as the ERP will be considered as plus
- Knowledge of ISO, RBA, CSR and other quality standards, as well as regulatory requirements for the paper packaging industry will be a plus
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Strong multi-tasking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
