We are seeking a skilled Release Coordinator specializing in Oracle to join our busy release team, focusing on scheduled and emergency changes and data fixes. The role involves collaborating with development and data teams to implement changes in EMEA production environments, with some on-call responsibilities for urgent requests.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support for DBA systems (primarily Oracle) which are currently on multiple platforms - AIX, RHEL and Windows server.
- Support of Oracle releases on an Exadata\ExaCC appliance for PeopleSoft.
- Provision of pre and post release technical support for Oracle engineered platforms, RAC.
- Knowledge of Oracle Database Encryption which is currently implemented for PeopleSoft.
- Wallet backup, updates, maintenance.
- Working closely with the Global DBA teams to ensure maintenance scripts are in place for all databases.
- Support, configure, maintain OEM performance monitoring tool, including upgrades.
- Support DBMS upgrade activities.
- Knowledge of Rubrik which is the backup tool used at Chubb across all DBMS systems.
- Strong handle on RMAN for backup & recovery.
- Oracle password authentication using Kerberos is a strategic direction – therefore preferred.
- Provision of technical expertise on database & application performance tuning areas.
- Handle on-call (on rotational basis).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven with the ability to manage workload without direct supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree graduate preferably in relevant courses in Computer Science, Information Technology
- Rubrik knowledge preferred.
- Oracle 19 Knowledge preferred.
- Experience with RMAN preferred
- Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM and Advanced Security - preferred
- Oracle Certifications – a plus
- Willing to work on-call (on rotational basis)
