We’re hiring an R&D Specialist to lead menu innovation, documentation, and quality control for Makimura Ramen Bar, a growing restaurant brand specializing in modern Japanese cuisine.
Job Summary
- Develop and test new recipes, sides, and limited-time offers in line with the brand’s quality, cost, and timeline targets
- Standardize and document recipes for commissary and store use
- Implement systems for product quality, consistency, and continuous improvement
- Conduct food tastings, supplier trials, and ingredient sourcing for menu and LTO (limited-time offer) development
- Coordinate with kitchen and operations teams for rollouts and gather operational feedback
- Maintain up-to-date records of formulations, specifications, and process documentation
- Research and test alternative ingredients and packaging to support stable supply and operational efficiency
Minimum Qualifications
- BS Degree in Culinary, HRM, Food Technology or equivalent.
- With 1-2 years relevant experience in Research and Development in restaurant/ food industry is a plus.
- Computer literate, results oriented, proactive and creative.
- Detail-oriented, systematic, and organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Japanese cuisine is a plus
- Experience in healthy meal prep, calorie-counted recipes, or wellness-based food concepts is a strong advantage.
- Must be passionate about cooking and product creation, with a genuine interest in exploring new flavors, techniques, and trends in the food industry.
- Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and reporting.

Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php25,000.00 per month
