About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead and execute strategic initiatives across both distribution and retail channels. This role is critical in driving revenue growth, optimizing sales operations, and building high-performing teams that deliver strong commercial results.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a strong track record in sales strategy, channel development, and cross-functional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Channel Growth
- Develop and implement sales strategies for distribution and retail.
- Set and deliver targets for revenue, sell-through, profit margins, and expansion.
- Identify new market opportunities and partnerships.
2. Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Manage and coach sales teams across distribution and retail functions.
- Set KPIs, oversee performance reviews, and ensure team development.
- Build a performance-driven culture focused on results and execution.
3. Distribution Sales Management
- Manage distributor relationships and compliance.
- Monitor inventory, pricing, promotions, and sell-through rates.
- Improve distributor performance and fulfillment efficiency.
4. Retail Sales & Store Operations
- Drive performance across company-owned and franchise retail stores.
- Analyze store KPIs including sales per sqm, conversion, and AOV.
- Collaborate on visual merchandising and in-store marketing efforts.
5. Brand Principal & Key Account Management
- Ensure alignment with principal brand’s sales, marketing, and operational guidelines.
- Lead quarterly reviews, business planning, and compliance reporting.
6. Retail Expansion & Lease Management
- Secure high-traffic locations and manage lease negotiations.
- Work with Finance and Ops to evaluate new store profitability.
7. Financial Performance & Profitability
- Manage sales budgets, pricing strategies, and margin optimization.
- Monitor performance vs. forecasts and adjust plans to hit targets.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Marketing, Inventory, Finance, and HR to drive aligned execution across the organization.

- Sales target achievement and sell-through performance
- Distributor and store compliance
- Sales team productivity and training completion
- Retail profitability, foot traffic conversion, and AOV
- Brand principal relationship management
- Lease cost-to-revenue ratios
- Budget adherence and ROI on campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA a plus)
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in retail or distribution sales
- Proven experience managing multi-channel strategies and high-performing teams
- Strong business acumen, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with inventory, pricing, and promotional planning
