Duties and Responsibilities of a Security Investigator
- Conduct Security Investigations
- Investigate incidents involving theft, fraud, vandalism, workplace violence, security breaches, and other violations.
- Gather evidence through interviews, surveillance, site inspections, and review of records or CCTV footage.
- Prepare Incident and Investigation Reports
- Document findings clearly and accurately.
- Submit reports to management or legal authorities when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Coordinate with Law Enforcement and Internal Departments
- Liaise with police, legal departments, or other government agencies in the resolution of cases.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and facilities management for internal investigations.
- Conduct Surveillance Operations
- Monitor individuals or areas under suspicion using surveillance tools and techniques.
- Evaluate security camera footage for irregular activities.
- Perform Background Checks
- Verify employment history, criminal records, and other relevant details of personnel, contractors, or applicants as part of pre-employment screening.
- Ensure Compliance with Security Policies
- Audit and review adherence to internal security protocols.
- Recommend updates to security policies and procedures based on findings.
- Protect Company Assets and Information
- Identify potential threats to physical and information security.
- Take preventive action to mitigate risks and secure facilities and data.
- Support Crisis Management and Emergency Response
- Provide investigative support during incidents such as fires, natural disasters, or active threats.
- Assist in root cause analysis and follow-up procedures.
- Maintain and Secure Evidence
- Properly collect, preserve, and store physical and digital evidence for legal or disciplinary proceedings.
- Testify in Hearings or Legal Proceedings
- Provide factual accounts and expert testimony related to investigations conducted.
- Train and Guide Security Personnel
- Provide briefings and training on investigation procedures and incident reporting.
- Mentor junior security staff in investigative techniques.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
Supplemental Pay:
- 13th month salary
