Senior Manager, Project Portfolio & Controls
This role reports to the Director PD and Engineering Standards and can be based in Manila, Kuala Lumpur or Mumbai.

What will you do
The Senior Manager, Project Portfolio and Controls is a critical role responsible for managing Kenvue CRE project portfolio governance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and driving the delivery of high-impact initiatives within Corporate Real Estate. The role involves implementing robust project management frameworks, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring effective controls to achieve operational excellence and business outcomes. It is responsible for driving standardization, communicating best practices, and Project Controls efforts through implementation of guidelines on assigned projects including Executive Status Reports (ESRs), Cost Reports, integrated EPCV Primavera schedules, and other required project controls reporting and analysis tools.
A suitable candidate for this role will have extensive knowledge base of engineering/construction project controls: strong personal leadership with demonstrated proficiency collaborating with multiple levels of the organization including senior leaders; and strong networking and relationship building skills. He should have proven experience driving progress and remaining focused under ambiguous and complex situations, and the ability to independently plan, prioritize, co-ordinate, manage and execute assigned tasks.
Key relationships will include project managers, project teams, EPS and affiliate senior management, procurement, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management
• Develop, implement, and oversee the project portfolio management framework to align with Kenvue’s strategic goals.
• Prioritize and manage a balanced portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with resource capacity, risk tolerance, and financial targets.
• Partner with senior leadership to define and maintain portfolio KPIs, providing regular updates on performance and progress.
• Lead portfolio review processes, including assessing project performance, dependencies, and value realization.
Project Controls
• Establish and maintain governance standards, project controls, and methodologies to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all projects.
• Develop and enforce project reporting standards, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and transparency.
• Monitor and mitigate risks across the project portfolio by implementing robust risk management practices.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls related to project expenditures.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment across business units, project managers, and external partners.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive project success.
• Provide expert guidance and thought leadership on best practices in project and portfolio management.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery and portfolio performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging tools/technologies, leveraging them to optimize project outcomes.
• Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Qualifications
• Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in project management, portfolio management, or program management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects in a consumer health or related industry.
• Strong expertise in project and portfolio management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMBOK).
• Advanced knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, or similar platforms).
• Excellent financial acumen and experience with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, resolve conflicts, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• MRICS, PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar certifications are a plus.
- Experience in an FDA regulated industry is an advantage
- Experience with web-based project management systems (Planisware, Primavera,) and Monte Carlo Cost analysis is also an advantage but though not mandatory
