Role Overview
The Specialist, Controllership (General Accounting) will be a valuable addition and help to our team in order to maintain accurate and timely financial reports. Adherence to company policies and controls, embracing the mindset of continuous improvement and best practice sharing while investing in personal development are also expected for this role.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform flux and variance analysis of P&L, identify reasons for variance and propose adjustments, if necessary.
Manage CAPEX-related accounting transactions and validate correctness in accordance with set policies on department and company charging and standards such as GAAP, PFRS and BOI reporting.
Maintain an asset list and ensure proper booking of depreciation of each asset.
Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliation to ensure data accuracy before migration to the new accounting system.
Create and maintain templates necessary for improvement of accounting working papers.
Perform regular review of BS accounts assigned ensuring all balances are properly accounted for and necessary amortizations or reversals are carried out.
Perform periodic review of books in compliance with set guidelines on company and department charging and standards such as GAAP, PFRS and BOI reporting.
Review working papers of assigned analysts and guide them in setting up processes and improvement of work.
Performs tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong knowledge of different accounting standards (GAAP and PFRS)
Proficiency with excel/Google sheet formulas and functions and Google Slides
Good communication skills, written and verbal
Knowledge/experience in accounting system
Well-organized and detail-oriented
Relevant Experience Required 3+ years of experience in the related field (accounting, bookkeeping or financial reporting)
Preferably with experience or familiar with Quickbooks Accounting System
Educational and Certification Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Banking or any Business course. CPA is a plus but not required
