Job Summary:
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations, with a specific focus on revenue tracking, intercompany transactions, and investor-related activity. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and deep experience in maintaining accurate records across multiple entities and financial functions. You’ll also assist in bank reconciliations and system data uploads, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and timeliness.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record deposits related to revenue, joint interest billing (JIB), and investor contributions
- Apply incoming payments accurately to outside owner JIBs
- Record intercompany transfers and investor commissions
- Perform regular and accurate bank reconciliations across accounts
- Upload entry loaders and supporting documentation into internal accounting systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to support financial reporting and ledger accuracy
- Ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with other general accounting tasks as needed
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- High proficiency in Excel and accounting software tools
- Ability to manage and process large volumes of transactional data
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and completeness
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations
- Ability to work US hours, with flexibility once independently working in the role dependent on client preferences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working across intercompany and investor-related accounting
- Familiarity with Enertia or similar enterprise accounting systems
- Experience working with joint interest billing (JIB) and energy-related accounting
- Exposure to commission tracking and investor contribution workflows
- Previous experience supporting U.S.-based finance teams in a distributed or remote environment
