Responsibilities:
- Oversees the estimating process, from planning to completion of the estimate.
- Solicits supplier bids and proposals for labor, material and equipment and evaluates proposals to ensure they meet project specifications and budget requirements.
- Distribution of load to estimator.
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adheres to the approved budget.
- Estimating and determining cost used by the company to bid on prospective projects.
- Cost troubleshooting and cost analysis.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, assumptions, and supporting data for transparency.
- Present reports and summaries to stakeholders, highlighting critical cost drivers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Licensed Civil Engineer.
- Extensive experience in civil estimation, preferably with large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- Proven track record in preparing accurate and competitive bids.
- Proficiency in estimation software and project management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
