Supplier Development Engineer
Responsible for the qualification of products/ raw materials from Littelfuse Suppliers. Develop poor performing suppliers by implementing quality tools, 8D report review, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, etc. Conduct a Supplier assessment through a comprehensive Audit. The interface between plant operation and supplier, interface between end user and supplier when quality issues arise. New product involvement – design-in/build-in qualityDrive continuous improvement on all suppliers.
About the job:
- Provide leadership and work with a functional team to resolve supplier quality issues that affect quality metrics and the production line. Including the passthrough part and the raw material shipped to plants.
- Ensure quality tools, methodologies, and requirements are fully implemented by suppliers. Review the 8D report.
- Evaluate the supplier’s performance based on the quality expectation and provide leadership to develop the supplier to meet the quality expectation.
- Led continuous improvement project in the supply base, including Six Sigma and LEAN.
- Perform quality system and process audits and provide risk assessment summary and recommendations to the sourcing team and the plant team.
- Manage supplier improvement programs to meet Littelfuse's material requirements.
- Review the supplier quality management process and drive improvements as necessary.
- Support the global environmental health & safety strategy.
About you:
- 5+ years of extensive working experience in supplier quality/process engineering in Electronics, Semiconductor, or Automotive-related industry
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong command skills to lead the supplier quality activity and to ensure implementation and execution of the quality management plan and the continuous improvement plan.
- Knowledge/ability of implementation of quality methodologies, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, and other related tools.
- Strong in problem-solving techniques.
- Time management and Project management.
- Fluent in English in speaking and writing.
- Green belt or black belt certification preferred.
