The Role
The role involves demonstrating knowledge of domestic tax concepts, legislation, and regulations, and applying this knowledge to prepare tax analyses and computations, as well as identifying planning opportunities and staying up-to-date with changing tax laws.
Responsibilities:
- Discusses tax issues with clients and authorities.
- Interprets tax sources for compliance and advisory work.
- Analyzes and resolves moderate complexity tax issues.
- Incorporates changes in tax laws into client work.
- Reviews junior staff work and ensures well-supported conclusions.
- Prepares clear and thorough technical tax analyses.
- Studies domestic tax concepts to enhance knowledge.
- Applies domestic tax laws and regulations consistently.
- Prepares and reviews tax analyses for straightforward issues.
- Utilizes tools to produce accurate and comprehensive work.
- Applies tax risk management procedures.
- Identifies and escalates local tax planning opportunities.
- Follows confidentiality and privacy policies.
- Keeps up with technical knowledge through mandatory training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree graduate
- Certified Public Accountant(CPA) license
- Must have relevant experience in tax practice tax advisory and some tax advocacy work
- at least 5 yrs of experience in tax
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
