- Conduct sampling and/or analysis, as required, to ensure compliance with environmental regulations for wastewater treatment.
- Perform and interpret analytical tests and observations necessary to monitor and control the treatment process and optimize use of chemicals for wastewater treatment.
- Make calculations, keep records, and send daily report of chemical usage and analysis.
- Operate and calibrate equipment used in testing procedures.
- Develop and implement quality control plans for wastewater treatment.
- Conduct regular inspections of wastewater treatment facilities.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of testing instruments.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff and technicians.
- Maintain inventory control of supplies and chemicals.
- Participate in emergency response activities related to wastewater incidents.
