The Warehouse Personnel - Receiving Checker is responsible for verifying incoming shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining inventory integrity. This role ensures that all received items meet quality and quantity requirements before being stocked in the warehouse.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving Operations
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and supplier invoices.
- Ensure the correct quantity, description, and condition of goods received.
- Document any discrepancies, damages, or missing items and report them immediately.
- Approve unloading of supplier deliveries only if requirements are met.
Inventory & Documentation Control
- Accurately record received goods in the warehouse management system.
- Maintain proper filing of receiving documents such as delivery receipts, MRR (Material Receiving Report), and supplier invoices.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of received inventory.
- Transmit receiving documents to the Procurement and Accounting Departments in a timely manner.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Conduct quality checks to ensure items meet company standards.
- Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expiry-First-Out) stock rotation principles.
- Ensure compliance with safety and warehouse receiving procedures.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Identify and report operational inefficiencies in the receiving process.
- Participate in periodic training sessions to improve efficiency in receiving operations.
- Support warehouse audits by providing accurate receiving records.
Other Duties:
Performs other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
