The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and/or accounting, be highly proficient in Xero, and able to ensure accurate financial recordkeeping and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, manage, and maintain Xero accounting system
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
- Record and categorize transactions, manage accounts payable and receivable
- Generate and analyze financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Manage payroll (if applicable) and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Process BAS/GST/Tax returns (for AU/NZ businesses)
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax authorities
- Provide training and support to internal staff on Xero best practices
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry and financial reporting
Requirements
- Proven experience using Xero (Xero certification preferred)
- Background in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance (certification or degree preferred)
- Knowledge of local accounting standards and tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
