- Job Summary:
The Fleet Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing data related to fleet performance, maintenance, fuel consumption, and logistics to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role supports strategic decision-making by providing actionable insights and reports to fleet managers and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from GPS systems, fuel cards, maintenance logs, and telematics.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor fleet KPIs (e.g., fuel efficiency, vehicle utilization, downtime).
- Identify trends and anomalies to recommend operational improvements.
Fleet Optimization:
- Evaluate vehicle usage patterns to optimize routes, reduce idle time, and improve asset utilization.
- Support decisions on vehicle acquisition, replacement, and retirement based on lifecycle cost analysis.
Maintenance & Compliance:
- Track maintenance schedules and ensure timely servicing to minimize breakdowns.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations, licensing, and inspections.
Cost Management:
- Analyze fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and other operational expenses.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with fleet managers, drivers, procurement, and logistics teams.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
