The Pollution Control Officer (PCO) is responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all environmental laws, regulations, and standards set by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and other relevant government agencies. The PCO develops, implements, and monitors environmental management programs to minimize the company’s impact on air, water, and land resources, and promotes environmental awareness within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure company compliance with environmental laws, rules, and regulations (DENR, EMB, LGU ordinances, etc.).
- Secure and renew permits such as the Permit to Operate (PTO), Discharge Permit, Hazardous Waste Generator ID, and other environmental clearances.
- Prepare and submit periodic environmental reports (e.g., SMR, CMR, PCL Compliance Report) to DENR/EMB and other concerned agencies.
- Monitoring and Reporting
- Conduct regular monitoring of air emissions, water effluents, noise levels, and solid/hazardous waste management.
- Maintain records of environmental compliance, test results, and monitoring data.
- Investigate environmental issues, incidents, or complaints and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Environmental Management Programs
- Develop and implement environmental management plans, waste minimization, and pollution control programs.
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, transport, and disposal of hazardous and solid wastes.
- Coordinate with accredited waste transporters and treatment/storage/disposal (TSD) facilities.
- Training and Awareness
- Conduct environmental orientation, awareness campaigns, and training for employees.
- Act as the company’s environmental advocate to instill compliance and best practices.
- Coordination and Liaison
- Serve as the official liaison between the company and DENR/EMB, LGUs, and other environmental agencies.
- Attend meetings, inspections, and audits related to environmental compliance.
- Other Responsibilities
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in environmental management.
- Perform related duties as may be assigned by management.

Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
