- Assist head cook or chef with food preparation and cooking duties
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food storage areas
- Ensure food is cooked and stored at safe temperatures
- Set up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment
- Plate and present dishes as instructed by head cook
- Monitor inventory and report low stock or spoiled ingredients
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing food supplies
- Support in cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Work efficiently under pressure during busy meal periods
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service
