The BIM Architect (Revit) supports the production team by conducting research and development in specialized areas of Building Information Modeling (BIM). This role serves as the company’s subject matter expert in one or more BIM specializations or tools (e.g., Revit, Archicad) and ensures the organization remains current with industry advancements. The specialist is responsible for researching new technologies, evaluating software updates, and developing materials to enhance project efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Researches and evaluates new BIM technologies and software updates.
- Develops BIM-related materials for project use, including templates, protocols, guidelines, and automation tools.
- Troubleshoots project-related BIM issues and provides technical support.
- Conducts audits to ensure BIM output meets quality standards.
- Assists project teams with BIM-related challenges and implementation.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
- At least five years of experience in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Naviswork) and project BIM modeling/documentation.
- Strong knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts, implementation, and construction documentation.
- Understanding of the AEC industry, building life cycle, and engineering systems.
- Professional licensure in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
