The Dietician is responsible for assessing the nutritional needs of clients or patients, creating personalized meal and nutrition plans, and providing guidance on healthy eating habits to promote overall well-being. The role involves working closely with healthcare professionals, clients, and community groups to address dietary needs for preventive health, medical conditions, and lifestyle improvement.
- Assess clients’ or patients’ dietary and health needs through consultations, interviews, and medical history reviews.
- Develop individualized nutrition plans tailored to health goals, medical conditions, and cultural preferences.
- Provide nutritional counseling and education to promote healthy lifestyle choices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of dietary plans, making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutritional care into overall treatment plans.
- Stay updated with the latest research and developments in nutrition science.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, or community health programs to promote good nutrition.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, recommendations, and progress reports.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- License/Certification: Licensed Nutritionist-Dietician (LND) in the Philippines.
- Experience: Preferably 1–2 years of relevant work experience (fresh graduates may also be considered).
- Strong knowledge of nutritional science, food safety, and dietary guidelines.
- Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
