Job Summary
The IT Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic alignment and prioritization of the organization’s IT projects and product initiatives. The IT Portfolio Manager is responsible for supporting the IT Portfolio and Product Management Head by ensuring the efficient execution, prioritization, and governance of IT projects within the organization. This role oversees a set of projects within the portfolio and works cross-functionally to align the portfolio with business goals. The role ensures that IT investments align with business objectives, providing maximum value to Palawan Pawnshop’s customers. This role collaborates with business leaders, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure effective governance, risk management, and execution across the IT portfolio.
Roles and Responsibilities
Portfolio Management & Execution
· Support the IT Portfolio and Product Management Head in defining portfolio strategies and execution plans.
· Maintain and track the IT portfolio roadmap, ensuring all projects are aligned with business goals.
· Ensure that all projects under the portfolio are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
· Track and report the progress of portfolio projects to senior leadership, ensuring visibility and alignment across teams.
· Maintain the IT project/product portfolio roadmap aligned with business strategy.
· Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date IT Portfolio Health Dashboard that reflects real-time:
· Project status (on-track, at-risk, delayed)
· Benefit realization progress
· Budget vs. actuals
· Strategic alignment and ROI
· Customer satisfaction
· Facilitate portfolio review boards (spring board) and steering committee meetings.
Project Prioritization & Governance
· Work with business units to prioritize projects based on strategic importance, ROI, and resource availability.
· Ensure adherence to portfolio governance processes for project approval, initiation, and monitoring.
· Provide support for the Portfolio and Product Management Head during portfolio review boards and steering committee meetings.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution
· Identify and manage risks across the portfolio, proactively seeking mitigation strategies.
· Resolve project-related issues and obstacles, collaborating with other teams and stakeholders as necessary.
· Flag project delays, budget overruns, and strategic misalignment early and work with the relevant teams to adjust.
Resource and Capacity Management
· Coordinate with Unit and Section Heads to ensure proper allocation of resources across the portfolio.
· Identify resource gaps and propose solutions, ensuring that all projects have the required capabilities and skills.
Stakeholder Communication
· Communicate regularly with business leaders and project teams to keep them informed of portfolio status.
· Prepare and deliver reports for portfolio health, key risks, and financial performance.

An effective IT Portfolio Manager will be considered successful when:
· The IT project portfolio is consistently aligned with strategic business objectives, with projects prioritized based on clear ROI and strategic value.
· The Portfolio Dashboard is regularly updated and actively used by senior leadership to make data-driven decisions, with up-to-date metrics on project progress, risks, and resource allocation.
· Project milestones are consistently met, with issues or delays flagged early and mitigated effectively, ensuring that projects stay on track.
· The Portfolio Manager has successfully managed resource allocation across competing priorities, optimizing team capacity and ensuring efficient use of resources.
· Stakeholder satisfaction is high, with executives and business unit heads confident in the portfolio’s alignment to business goals and transparent reporting.
Position Requirements
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
· 3+ years of experience in IT portfolio management, project management, or similar roles.
· Proven track record in managing multiple IT projects within a portfolio.
· Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
Skills and Competencies
· Strong project management skills with knowledge of project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
· Excellent communication and presentation skills for reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to Php85,000.00 per month
