Role
The Maintenance Specialist provides expert mechanical and electrical support, focusing on troubleshooting and repairing complex systems to ensure smooth plant operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations:
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems based on instructions from the EFS Team Leader.
- Collaborate with Production Team Leaders to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Undertake electrical and mechanical installations and upgrades of machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Lead complex repair projects and advanced troubleshooting initiatives requiring in-depth technical knowledge.
- Serve as a key technical advisor for critical system enhancements and complex maintenance issues.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Conduct electronic/electrical troubleshooting and perform minor mechanical repairs, escalating complex issues as necessary.
- Ensure availability of spare parts by managing requisitions and withdrawals from the storeroom.
Coordination and Communication:
- Work alongside Maintenance Technicians and OEM Technicians for complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Continuously update the shift logbook to ensure smooth handovers and follow-ups on pending issues.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and policies, actively participating in safety training and initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related electronic courses.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications such as Word and Excel.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry, with a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Highly skilled in troubleshooting DC and AC drivers, PLC functions, and motor terminations.
- Experienced in troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic machine parts.
- Capable of performing installations and software/program installations during troubleshooting tasks.
