Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct onboarding and orientation sessions for new hires.
- Train new staff on all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including:
- Food preparation and handling
- Order taking and POS usage
- Cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Opening, closing, and shift change protocols
- Guest service standards
- Emergency and safety procedures
- Demonstrate and explain procedures step-by-step, ensuring understanding and compliance.
- Ensure that new hires understand and apply SOPs consistently during training shifts.
- Use training manuals, checklists, videos, and other materials to support learning.
- Monitor trainee progress and provide timely feedback and coaching.
- Coordinate with the owner to ensure proper skills transfer post-training.
- Maintain accurate training records, attendance sheets, and evaluation reports.
- Continuously review and update training materials to reflect current SOPs and policies.
- Assist in refresher training as needed for existing staff.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience working in a restaurant (FOH or BOH)
- Prior experience in training or onboarding is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and SOP implementation
- Excellent communication and demonstration skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence
- Flexible with schedule (may include weekends/holidays)
- High school graduate; vocational or hospitality training is a plus
