Job Summary:
The Plastic Injection Technician is responsible in the maintenance, repair, and optimization of machinery to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production, thereby supporting manufacturing efficiency and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Setup and Startup:
- Performs mold changes and machine startup according to the production schedule
- Sets-up and optimizes machine parameters to achieve an efficient and stable molding process
Operation and Monitoring:
- Monitors machine operations to ensure they are running efficiently and safely
- Conducts regular inspections of molded parts to verify that they meet quality standards
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Diagnoses and repairs machine and process problems, such as material feeding issues, mold leaks, or part defects
- Performs preventative maintenance on machines and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime
- Assists with the repair and maintenance of molds as needed
Safety and Quality:
- Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures
- Works with the Quality Assurance team to address any part quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
Job Qualifications:
- Graduate of Vocational or Associate degree
- With at least three (3) years in a manufacturing or plastics environment, specifically with injection molding machines
- Experience with a variety of machine types such as hydraulic, and electric is a plus
- Background in mold changes, setting up processes, and troubleshooting common molding issues like flash, shorts, or warping
- Knowledge in different plastic resins and their properties such as PC, ABS, TPE, Nylon, etc.
- Can process parameter adjustment. Expertise in setting and adjusting injection speed, pressure, temperature, and cooling time
- Background in troubleshooting: with the ability to quickly identify and solve molding defects
- Tooling knowledge, understanding of how molds work, including hot runner systems and tooling maintenance
- Knowledge in machine maintenance. Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: Php14,600.00 - Php18,000.00 per month
