Overall Job Purpose:
The Procurement Supervisor is responsible designing, implementing, and improving the supply chain system of the company from materials sourcing to product shipment with the main objective to optimize inventory, quality of materials, supply chain activities and documentation for productivity and cost effectiveness. Moreover, the Procurement Supervisor coordinates with production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, or financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service, or safety.
Job Qualifications
- Graduate in Procurement Management, Logistics, Business Administration or similar field.
- With at least 3 years of experience in procurement, retail, or logistics.
- Broad knowledge in supply chain and procurement regulations.
- He/she must also have good business acumen and judgement, excellent communication skills, planning and organizational skills, negotiation skills, and knowledge in Financial management.
- With Experience in Importation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Provides operational support and guidance to ensure maximum productivity.
Strategic
- Reviews or updates supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
- Evaluates and selects transportation routes and logistics suppliers to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
- Creates supply chain management strategies and systems that increase efficiency and speed.
Collaboration
- Collaborates with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close-in operational gaps.
- Handles communications and negotiations with external suppliers.
Analytics
- Develops material costs forecasts or standard cost lists.
Knowledge
- Assesses appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move or store materials.
- Performs quality assurance functions for materials, equipment and supplies procured.
- Focus on safety, cost management and business growth in all interactions and directives
- Develops quality standards and procedures for the supply chain process.
Administrative
- Prepares and submits weekly reports to the Executive Department.
Other Duties
- Complies with company policies and procedures; and
- Performs other functions as assigned by Superiors from time to time or when the need arises.
