JOB SUMMARY
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of ChildFund’s programs in Pagadian City and Zamboanga City. This role ensures that program activities are aligned with ChildFund’s strategic objectives and are responsive to the needs of children, youth, and communities.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of ChildFund’s programs in Pagadian City and Zamboanga City. This role ensures that program activities are aligned with ChildFund’s strategic objectives and are responsive to the needs of children, youth, and communities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of child and youth-focused development programs in assigned areas regardless of funding source
- Work closely with local partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
- Facilitate capacity-building activities for local partners and community groups.
- Monitor program progress, collect and analyze data, and prepare regular reports.
- Ensure compliance with ChildFund’s program, sponsorship and grants management standards, policies, and requirements including program and sponsorship integration.
- Support advocacy and communication efforts to promote child rights and protection.
- Support project ideation, concept note and funding proposal development.
- Participate in emergency response and disaster risk reduction initiatives as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Education, Public Health, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in program coordination or community development work, preferably with an NGO.
- Strong understanding of child rights, child protection, and participatory development approaches.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Pagadian and Zamboanga and occasionally to other areas.
- Experience working in Mindanao, particularly in multicultural and conflict-sensitive contexts.
- Familiarity with donor-funded project implementation and reporting.
- Knowledge of local languages (e.g., Cebuano, Chavacano) is an advantage.
