Duties:
- Assist in sourcing and procuring goods and services for the company
- Handling documentation for import and export transactions, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery
- Manage purchase orders and monitor the status of shipments
- Track and maintain inventory levels, ensuring stock availability
- Support the importation process, including liaising with customs and handling documentation
- Ensure compliance with import regulations and company policies
- Assist with preparing reports and documentation related to purchasing and import activities
- Maintain accurate records of all purchase transactions
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Specialist in a food industry
- Have experience and knowledge in importation processes and customs regulations
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office and purchasing software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
