As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Research and Development / Technical Services Specialist to join our team.
Job Description:
The Technical Services Specialist will be responsible to assess raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products based on their physicochemical and sensory properties. Perform batch trial runs in the commissary and with toll manufacturers. Initiate process and product enhancements as part of the company's cost-savings strategy.
Responsibilities:
Conduct research and analyze market trends to identifyopportunities for product and process improvements.
Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiencyand quality.
Perform basic and specialized tests required in product andprocess development.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data required in formulating technical documents.
Perform new product batch trial run in the commissary.
Assist in the process and product turnover to key tollers.
Create and establish technical documents like process
specifications, product information sheets and process flows.
Collect and analyze data from batch trial runs for BOM
creation/cost reference.
Prepare samples for R&D and management approval.
Conduct training, transferring of knowledge and technical-know-how.
Evaluate alternative materials from different brands and suppliers.
Apply approved alternative brands to commercial batches and
assist related departments in using and implementing the material.
Construct evaluation reports and material specifications.
Provide support to related departments if supply issues arise.
Prepare and conduct food-tasting evaluations.
Abide Company Policies, Rules and Regulations on Discipline, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, Quality Schemes, Safety, and other related Company Policies being implemented.
Establish and maintain technical documents necessary for audit and other FDA mandatory requirements.
Ensure that all products adhere to food safety regulations and industry standards.
Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the team.
Promote and maintain a healthy and positive social atmosphere of manufacturing by strengthening culture, employee engagement, and reinforcing corporate values.
Perform other job or expertise-related assignments to develop one’s self and/or share one’s expertise resulting in support for operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Must be a Bachelor’s/College degree in Bachelor’s / College Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry., Biology or any allied courses
With at least 1-2 years of work experience in food manufacturing or commissary level.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Must integrity and professional ethic with solid analytical and decision-making skills
Can work under pressure and able to manage multiple tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Level of Function-Specific Knowledge:
GMP/HACCP Background
General knowledge of food processing, safety and quality control.
Packaging technologies and shelf life studies
Familiarity with food chemistry, microbiology and food processing techniques.
- Willing to be assigned in San Pedro, Laguna ; 8 am to 6 am Monday to Friday working schedule

Pay: Php18,000.00 - Php20,000.00 per month
