What You Will Do
Manage the test to backend equipment and product sustaining teams of PICBU and Pretest or SBU SIP and SOHED including CI offline equipment to attain the following:
Weekly equipment performance and quality targets are met to ensure that weekly finished goods targets are met. Ensure adequate support and coordination with internal and external customers.
Who You Are
- Sets the annual targets for Key Results Area (KRA) of downtime, quality and cost.
- Creates the annual budget needed to support the sustaining and implementation of improvement projects in relation to the KRA.
- Writes the project approval request (PAR) for approved capital expenditures.
- Provides leadership and active participation in customer complaints’ 8D generation.
- Participate as department’s representative in department and corporate driven task forces and projects.
- Participate in the Test operations daily meetings, customer audit meeting preparations and customer audit proper.
- Participate in the Management Team Audits, 5S audits and other company wide activities.
- Develops strategies to ensure KRA targets and cost targets (on overtime and expenditures) are exceeded or met.
- Ensures that the team adheres to IATF 16949, OSHAS and QS 9000 requirements.
- Ensures that all action items related to Quality systems like IATF 16949, OSHAS, QS 9000, CI and customer complaints committed by his/her team are completed ON TIME.
- Ensures that critical documentations related to the above quality systems are updated and correct.
- Ensures that tech bays of his/her people and the equipment running in production exhibit the highest level of 5S compliance.
- Executes organizational changes in support of the KRA and Key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develops a career path for the Most Valuable players (MVP).
- Manage manpower requirement via close coordination with the HR Department.
- Oversees and manages manpower resources and availability and helps assess their training needs for capability improvement.
- Serves as a member of the team that do buy-off of CRITICAL and NEW equipment type for deployment in AMPI or AMTC.
- Updates the PSM management dashboard data fields and provides improvement plans in the weekly PSM management meeting.
- Provides technical support to teams within the PSM section and department as needed.
- Reviews and submits performance appraisal and merit increase recommendations to management.
- Oversees line performance and equipment efficiency.
- Ensures parts are ordered and available just in time.
- Guides and supervises his/her team leaders in the day-to-day activities.
- Provides leadership or participation to the OEM core team composed of the local field service manager and or field service engineers that tackles problems and creates solutions intended for the installed bases in Allegro.
- Performs other related duties that may be assigned by the immediate or next immediate supervisor.
