Paris Baguette, a Korean Cafe and Bakery is looking for a highly creative and experienced Research and Development Chef to join our fast growing team and will collaborate closely with product development teams, marketing, and operations to ensure that new culinary creations are not only innovative but also scalable and cost-effective.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and test new recipes and food concepts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development
- Conduct ingredient and flavor research
- Ensure scalability and cost-effectiveness of new dishes
- Maintain detailed documentation of culinary experiments
- Stay updated on food trends and consumer preferences
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Train kitchen staff on new recipes and techniques
- Support marketing with product presentations and tastings
Requirements:
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years in a culinary role, with R&D experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food science and nutrition
- Excellent palate and sensory evaluation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, experimental environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Experience with high-volume production and scalability
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recipe management software
- Understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP
