The PEZA Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company's compliance with Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) rules and regulations. This role involves acting as the primary liaison between the company and PEZA, ensuring timely submission of all required reports, processing permits and certifications, and facilitating smooth import and export operations within the economic zone.
Key Responsibilities:
- PEZA Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure the company's full compliance with all PEZA rules, regulations, and issuances, including the PEZA Law (RA 7916) and the CREATE Law.
- Prepare and submit all mandatory PEZA reports accurately and on time, such as:
- Economic Zone Monthly Performance Report (EZMPR)
- Annual Tax Incentives Report (ATIR) and Annual Benefits Report (ABR) under TIMTA.
- Quarterly and Annual Income Tax Returns (ITR) as required by PEZA and BIR.
- Annual Report on Actual Operations.
- Work-from-Home (WFH) compliance reports (if applicable to IT-BPM enterprises).
- Other ad-hoc reports or documents as required by PEZA.
- Maintain distinct and separate books of accounts for operations inside the ecozone as mandated by PEZA.
- Keep abreast of the latest PEZA advisories, circulars, and policy changes.
- Permit and Certification Management:
- Process applications for and ensure timely renewal of PEZA certifications (e.g., VAT Zero-rating Certificate, Certificate of Entitlement to Incentives (CETI)).
- Handle applications and requests for Letters of Authority (LOA) for various purposes, such as amendment of registered activity, transfer of operations, temporary permits, etc.
- Process applications for approval of Start of Commercial Operations (SCO) and validation/confirmation of Income Tax Holiday (ITH) entitlements.
- Import and Export Operations:
- Coordinate and facilitate the processing of import and export documents (e.g., 8106, 8105, 8110/EZTS, Boatnote) with PEZA and Bureau of Customs (BOC).
- Monitor and update liquidation ledgers for imported materials.
- Ensure proper filing of all import/export-related documents.
- Coordinate with brokers and forwarders for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Handle BOC CPRS renewal.
- Liaison and Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for PEZA officials and inquiries.
- Address written, telephone, and walk-in queries from PEZA.
- Coordinate with other internal departments (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Production, Logistics, HR) to gather necessary information and ensure compliance.
- Assist in facilitating PEZA audits and inspections.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain a well-organized and updated filing system for all PEZA-related documents, permits, reports, and correspondence.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all PEZA submissions.
- Ad-hoc Tasks:
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support PEZA compliance and operations.
