Reporting to Equipment Supervisor, the Aircon Technician, is accountable and responsible installation, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of air conditioning systems installed in heavy equipment units, ensuring optimal performance and comfort for machine operators under various operating conditions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Able to identify circuit type and latest digital inverter circuit diagram for control boards.
2. Performs proper inspection and advance thorough system troubleshooting ability.
3. Can easily determine and detect abnormal functions and system gas leaking.
4. Performs proper maintenance of precision measuring tools like clamp-ammeter, analog and digital multi-meter.
5. Performs repair and adjustment of thermostatic expansion valve.
6. Able to execute system purging by using vacuum pump.
7. Perform accurate charging of refrigerant (134A) in the system.
8. Performs repair and overhauling in different types of compressors.
9. Able to fix, gas weld repair in evaporator copper tube leaking.
10. Perform proper maintenance of condenser by washing the air way fins.
11. Familiar with aircon component electrical wiring and controls.
12. Must prepare and submit job order, service reports and tabulated parts.
13. Performs in the air conditioning system major repair.
14. Familiar in environmental safety standard regarding refrigerant proper handling.
15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
1. Preferably technical or vocational school graduate in automotive air conditioning course.
2. At least 2-year in experience as Auto Aircon Technician
3. Satisfactorily Passed required trade test.
4. Must be able to apply service, parts, operation and maintenance manual.
