ABOUT YOU:
As a Jira Administrator, reporting to the Manager of Business Applications, you will be responsible for all development and administration in our existing Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence systems.
You’ll be designing new solutions to support our product development and business development efforts. We are a small team, so you will be working directly with business stakeholders to meet our needs. We expect you to work directly with end users to gather requirements and match them with Jira capabilities.
You’ll get the opportunity to design and implement integrations between Jira and other systems, such as Salesforce, NetSuite, eCommerce platforms, and third-party applications.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for Jira customizations and configurations.
- Utilize your knowledge of Jira modules, features, and best practices to customize and configure Jira to meet teams’ business needs.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy through data mapping, data flow, data cleansing, and data migration activities to ensure seamless information exchange between Jira and other systems.
- Develop solutions with scalability for growth, efficiency, industry best practices, and optimally leveraging available Jira features.
- Explore new features and modules available within Jira domain and third-party solutions that work well with Jira to respond to new requirements across our business.
- Conduct small training sessions and create documentation to empower end-users to effectively utilize Jira. Provide ongoing support to address user questions and concerns.
- Collaborate with business managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables. Participate in project meetings, provide regular status updates, and escalate any risks or issues.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. Clearly communicate complex concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with Jira product releases, new features, and industry trends. Share your knowledge and expertise with the team, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Jira Administrator or Developer, implementing and supporting Jira solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Jira modules, including but not limited to workflows, automations, screens, schemes, issue types, and dashboards.
- Ability to understand and analyze complex business processes and translate them into effective Jira solutions.
- Proficient in Jira configuration, including usernames, groups, permissions, project templates, and custom fields.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues and system errors in Jira.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or HubSpot is a plus.
