Role Overview
The Revenue Manager is a strategic leader responsible for driving top-line revenue performance across all segments of the resort by optimizing pricing, inventory, and distribution strategies. This role ensures a unified revenue approach through collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, and other key departments. The position plays a vital role in maintaining competitive advantage through market intelligence and proactive pricing strategies, with a direct impact on the resort’s profitability and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue and inventory management
· Develop, implement, and manage effective yield and pricing strategies across all distribution channels.
· Conduct regular analysis of inventory levels, room types, and booking pace to maximize occupancy and revenue.
· Oversee demand forecasts and market segmentation to determine optimal pricing structures.
· Ensure accurate and timely updates of availability and rates across all systems (e.g., PMS, CRS, OTA platforms).
2. Market and competitor analysis
· Monitor local market trends, competitive pricing, and external demand factors, particularly within the Boracay and regional hospitality market.
· Benchmark against competitive set and adjust strategies as needed to maintain a leading market position.
· Generate and present insightful reports for strategic decision-making.
3. Collaboration and strategy alignment
· Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to align strategies for room promotions, packages, and special campaigns.
· Partner with Reservations and Front Office teams to ensure accurate forecasting, seamless rate execution, and inventory integrity.
· Collaborate with Finance to support budgeting and forecasting cycles related to revenue performance.
4. System management and reporting
· Utilize Revenue Management System (RMS), Property Management System (PMS), and other analytic tools for data-driven strategies.
· Ensure accuracy in data management and system configuration to support revenue integrity.
· Regularly generate performance reports, including pick-up reports, STR analysis, and financial forecasts for executive leadership.
Key qualifications and requirements
· Experience
o 3–5 years of progressive experience in revenue management or a similar analytical role, preferably in the luxury hotel or resort industry.
o Prior experience with international hospitality chains is a strong advantage.
o Familiarity with the Boracay market or similar high-tourism destinations is highly preferred.
· Technical skills
o Proficient in Revenue Management Systems, Channel Managers, and PMS (e.g., Xenia, Opera or similar).
o Advanced knowledge of GoogleSheets, MS Excel, including pivot tables, data modelling, and financial forecasting tools.
o Comfortable working with BI tools and market benchmarking platforms (e.g., STR, OTA Insight).
· Analytical and business acumen
o Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights.
o Deep understanding of customer behavior, pricing elasticity, distribution costs, and hotel financial principles.
· Communication and interpersonal skills
o Excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written) to influence decision-making across departments.
o Able to explain complex data in an understandable way to non-technical stakeholders.
o A collaborative team player who can work cross-functionally and manage upwards effectively.
· Soft skills
o Strong time management and organizational skills.
o Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
o Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
Key success indicators:
· Achieving or exceeding monthly and annual RevPAR and ADR targets.
· Effective forecasting accuracy and pricing implementation.
· Increased market share and ranking in STR and other benchmarking tools.
· Streamlined communication and alignment with Sales, Marketing, and Operational Teams.
